Hunger

This month we celebrate Thanksgiving. We always have plenty to eat. But some boys and girls never have enough to eat. This is why we do what Jesus would do. We try to make sure people who need food are able to get it. We do this by making donations to food shelves and shelters.

• With a parent or older brother or sister, organize a food drive in your neighborhood. Let people know in advance that you will collect items for the food shelf at a designated day and time. If possible, find out from your local food shelf if there are any specific needs and do a food specific drive.

• Go grocery shopping with your parent. Pick out a special item to donate to your local food shelf. Maybe you will be able to pay for it with your own money.
