Grade 4, Chapter 8
The Spirit of God
To help us better understand the Spirit of God,
the Church uses many different titles and symbols. We know the Holy Spirit
as Comforter, Helper, Advocate, and Paraclete.
Some of the symbols the Church uses for the Holy Spirit are tongues of
flame, a dove, or wind. The flames of fire represent wisdom and knowledge.
The dove represents love and peace. Wind reminds us of the power of the
Spirit--in the same way, the Spirit of God can be our strength.
Which of the titles and symbols of the Holy Spirit helps you to better
understand how the Holy Spirit is working in your life?
