Living as Followers of Jesus

In this chapter, you learned that you are an image of God. You are created in God's own image and likeness. God created us to be holy. He gave us the Holy Spirit to help us make good choices. Follow the directions below to explore and reflect upon being created in God's image and likeness.

Choose one of the following activities:

• Draw a self-portrait. Write at the bottom of your picture, "I am an image of God." Hang your portrait where it can serve as a reminder.
  
  
• Make a list of all the things you know about God based upon what you know about yourself. For example, if you are kind, God might be kind. If you have a sense of humor, God may have a sense of humor.
  
  
• Memorize the prayer to the Holy Spirit that is in the Catholic Prayers and Practices section in the back of your textbook. Or you can make a prayer card with this prayer written on it and use it to pray to the Holy Spirit.
