Pros and Cons
Living a life of holiness involves making proper
choices. Doing what is right and good can be a struggle at times. The
right choice may not always be clear to us. Our God-given gift of conscience
helps us to make good choices.
The following tool can help you listen to your conscience. Think about
a difficult choice that you have to make now or in the future. List all
the positive things about the decision under the heading "Pros"
and list all the negative things about the decision under the heading
"Cons." Take a moment to reflect on the pros and cons listed.
Pray to the Holy Spirit for guidance and let your conscience lead you
in making the right choice.
